Deft Gaming

Every time we hear about a new game hitting the shelves, what is the first thing we do? Go online and check any websites we can for hints as to whether its worth our money or not. We check every last rating, read every last hit/miss list, and even check the wiki for a compilation of the scores to reassure us of our purchase. Some of us have lost faith in the review system, subscribing to ideas such as publications being paid off(becoming more evident when an employee was fired for giving a bad review of a game published by a major sponsor, and then that published review being "touched up" to be better). We are a people who rely on the honor system when it comes to things like reviews. Throwing our beliefs away to what we read or who we talk to. Recently, something has occurred to me.

Congrats cult fans who missed out but still love the games anyways. Recent announcements have been made for Greatest Hits Reprints for Disgaea, Odin Sphere, and Okami at the CAG price of $20 a pop. Amazon says Sept. 2 for Odin and Disgaea, and Okami is rumored for sometime later this month if not the same time as them. Get em before they sell out agian!

There comes a time in every blogger's life where you come across something so awesome, you just have to log on right away and repost it. This is one of those times.

Awe yea, Rock Band 2 Baby. Apparently all of the On-Disc Tracks are Master Recordings, yay no coverbands! Oh yea, and if you didn't already know, Guitar Hero World Tour planned to do their own set of drums that included cymbals and seemed FAR more realistic( and hopefully less noisy) than that of Rock Band's. Not to be outdone, Rock Band 2 came up with this...

Lately i stopped by the local EB Games and picked up the sequal to a long time favorite of mine: Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2. This release marks the 2nd on DS, but fourth in overall series with 2 games following and paralleling the storylines. TCUK2 ups the handheld ante.

You may not know this, but god has left us a very gracious gift. For fans of the Ouendan Series ( or Elite Beat Agents to us Americans), those few games just aren't enough.
